Mike Watson, founder and CEO of Tube Tech International, the world’s leading provider of Heat Exchangers and Process Plant cleaning, has been announced as a runner-up for the prestigious East of England “Director of the Year” award, governed by the Institute of Directors. The award was instated to show public recognition of the key role that Directors play, not only in the UK’s economy, but in job presentation and creation. Nominees are chosen based upon their individual excellence and outstanding achievement.
Mike Watson is passionate about research and innovation, with a core belief that convention should always be challenged to find a better way to achieve improved results. He is recognised for his work in inspiring clients to quantify the benefits of cleaning their equipment in a safer, faster, and higher standard. It was this entrepreneurial outlook and dedicated ethos that inspired Mike to found Tube Tech in the 1980’s, providing unparalleled quality of service to bring Tube Tech into 2017 as, yet again, an industry leader.
Upon receiving the news, Mike said: “Being a runner-up for the Director of the Year Award validates my mantra: Never let anyone tell you it can’t be done. Anyone who tries to bring you down must be looking up at you in the first place. Turn around and keep climbing; you’ll be on your own for a while but eventually you meet likeminded individuals who have been through the same struggle and now meet and collaborate at the IoD.”
Directing a team of highly-skilled and experienced operatives, Tube Tech is now home to over 50 innovative cleaning technologies. Under Mike’s guidance, the vision of the company turned international, providing a professional and proficient service to a loyal network of dedicated clients across the globe.
