We are back in The Netherlands next week (Amsterdam to be precise) for the European Ethylene Producers Committee 2020 Workshop (EEPC 2020). The workshop will focus on furnace asset management and will take place on 26-27 February 2020.
We will have two members of our technical team at EEPC 2020, Scott Donson and Stephen Sale; they will be on hand to answer any questions about our remote cleaning and inspection services, including our patented mark 6 robot.
The mark 6 robot is a step change in the cleaning of a fouled convection bank. It is the industry’s only complete service system providing the next generation in fouling removal. The technology offers exceptional cleaning and feedback with increased on-site efficiency.
Scott Donson, Technical Sales Manager, says: “Some of the features of our mark 6 robot include a customisable system and a smart digital sensor drive system which ensures that cleaning is precise and thorough whilst protecting the materials within the heat exchanger. A camera on the robot also allows images and videos to be captured, providing detailed feedback to the client. The system is used remotely, which also ensures operator safety.”
Did you know?
+At historic prices of $1,000 per ton of ethylene, the lost revenue for 5-10 days of lost production would be $14 million to $28 million respectively. +For a plant section with five furnaces in operation, it is estimated that in the 3-year period after Tube Tech’s robotic clean a cumulative saving of $5.44 million is possible; as the average cost per furnace is $250,000, in this scenario, payback on an initial investment of approximately $1,250,000 would be within the first year.
EEPC 2020 is open to members only and will aim to provide a holistic view on the asset management strategy for furnaces in cracker technology, share lessons learned and discuss latest developments in furnace technology.
If you can’t make it to EEPC 2020, you can submit an enquiry about our services and a member of our team will get back to you within 24 hours.
We look forward to seeing you there!
