Turbine Blade Cleaning Technical Advice Service

Tube Tech is always pleased to speak with refinery operators who are interested in discovering how to clean their static heat transfer equipment faster, safer and more efficiently.

Tube Tech’s Technical Advice Service includes detailed advance research and discussions, a site visit and in-depth recommendation reports outlining the pros and cons of various cleaning techniques.

Operators interested in the cleaning of turbine blades will initially be asked to provide the following information:

    1. Technical drawings including any and all access points however large or small
    2. Digital images of the working area including any access points
    3. Video clips with sound of the deposit being chipped or scraped away using a fingernail, screwdriver or hammer for example
    4. Where appropriate, a tube or pipe sample with attached deposit is extremely helpful (to be sent by DHL)

Once the above has been received, Tube Tech will provide a semi-complete questionnaire for clients to amend and return.

Based on all of the above information, Tube Tech will then be able to provide initial suggestions for cleaning techniques. A decision can then be made as to whether a site visit would be beneficial.

Following a site visit, the client will receive an in-depth report detailing a variety of techniques that would be suitable for their turbine blade cleaning along with details of recommended service providers.
